Getting started

How verification works

Why Fundsverse may ask you to verify your email or identity, and what to do if you need help.

When you need this

  • You have been asked to confirm your email.
  • You are seeking access to a financial service that requires identity checks.

Before you start

  • Use an email address you can access.
  • Identity verification may be required for financial services and can involve information such as your BVN for eligible Nigerian users.

Step-by-step

  1. Open the verification message sent to the email address associated with your account.
  2. Use the verification action in that message and return to Fundsverse.
  3. For financial-service onboarding, follow the in-app identity instructions and enter accurate details that match your official records.
  4. Review your details before submitting them.
  5. If verification remains pending, allow the app to show its current status and contact support if you need clarification.

What the app is doing

Email confirmation helps establish access to the email address you supplied. Separate identity and KYC checks may be required to meet onboarding, fraud-prevention and regulatory requirements for financial services. Completion of a check does not by itself guarantee service eligibility.

Common questions

Is email verification the same as KYC?

No. Email confirmation and identity/KYC checks serve different purposes.

Can everyone use financial services after verification?

No. Financial services are currently limited to eligible users in Nigeria and may have additional requirements.

Troubleshooting

  • Check spam or promotions folders for an email confirmation.
  • Make sure you are using the same account email.
  • If an identity check is pending or unsuccessful, do not repeatedly submit different personal details. Contact support for guidance.
